Someone can utilize life experiences as a foundation for creative and expressive thinking because you can write about the lessons you have learned by experiencing different things. For example, in my Seuss book we taught the fifth graders that you should always tell the truth. My group and I have experienced something like this so it made a good idea for a writing piece. I also wrote a metaphor poem about the Malaysian Airline that disappeared. I have experienced the news that goes on about this topic so I wrote a poem about it. I agree that your experiences can help you get ideas for writing.

I agree with manali because life expresses do give you lessons which you can influence your writing. I broke my wrist in indoor soccer and that taught me not to push people.

I think one can utilize life expressions as a foundation for creative and expressive thinking because it could help them to understand a topic or statement. For example, a person can use their life moments to understand ethics by remembering their experiences with good or bad decision.

you can use your real life experiences to make for good thinking because a lot of interesting and fascinating things can happen to person in there life time so it would be good to share that out with every one and you billed ideas of of past experiences witch i am sure can make a good story and if it os not to interesting you can just bend the truth

Someone can use life expires to help with creative and expresive thinking by if you expierce a tardily you can use that emotion or pain to help you by when you have to write about a poem there is a topic you can write about also you can put more emotion and feeling into a piece. An example of this from writing workshop is when we wrote about current events in my poem I wrote about the plane disappearing and i had i lot of emotion behind it because it was current.

One can utilize life experiences as a foundation for creative and expressive thinking by using the lessons you yourself have learned throughout life to teach others the same lesson in your writing. For example, in our Suess book we had our lesson be to not bully. If we had not experienced bullying throughout our lives, we may not have been able to write write about that topic.

I agree with you! I also think that you can use the lessons you have learned to teach others. In our book, we knew that we all had done something bad in school~ stealing stuff, running in the halls, etc. So we used our background knowledge to help show everyone else not to do the same.

I believe that one can utilize life experiences as a foundation for creative and expressive thinking because you can make your character's thoughts or experiences more realistic. Instead of entirely making up the plot, you can write about your own experiences so that the essay/story comes to life. For example, when I was writing my Expository Essay, I could base the information I was writing about from my own experiences, so I knew what I was writing was accurate and true.

I agree that using your own life experiences in your writing can make your character's thoughts or experiences more realistic. For example, when I was writing my Suess story, some of the things my main character said and did were things that I have done/do in real life!

I believe one can utilize life experiences to write creatively and express feelings by thinking of things that have happened to them or in general. Expressing feelings in writing is important because it gives emotion to the piece and shows that you have background with the topic. An example of when i had to use my life and the things going on around me was when i was writing my metaphor poem, i was writing about the Edison school burning down. Since i had seen it on the news i knew what was going on and was able to use my knowledge to write my poem.

AntoinetteBear, I agree with you. I also think that expressing feelings in writing is important, because it gives emotion to the piece. I think this, because giving emotion or tone to the writing piece basically brings it alive and can help you relate to the author or the piece of writing. Also, it makes the writing very interesting. For example, I think that If you wrote a poem or story about the Sandy Hook shooting without emotion, it would be bland and drab, and would have no meaning. But, if you put emotion into it, then you can feel the sorrow and pain of the people who's lives were lost.

1. One can utilize life experiences as a foundation for creativity by emotion and voice. They can this so that your writing has more of a voice, so that the reader can understand you, which also is helped by emotion, which helps the reader know that this piece was written by a person. You can use past life experiences to have good writing because you can build off of that. you can extend the truth and make the action more exciting. You can be creative because it is your story and you can change the foundation as much as you want. I could build off the story of the first day my teacher renamed me Jarebear and how that has been my name ever since.

One can utilize life experiences as a foundation for creative and expressive thinking by being able to teach the reader about your topic. For my Suess story, my group chose to write a book about a character running in the halls. If the person writing the story has not ran in the halls before, it might be harder to write a story about it. It will be easier to write a story if you can relate to the topic you are writing about.

You can utilize life experiences as a foundation for creative and expressive thinking by taking what you have done in life, and then adding that knowledge to a story or essay. For example, when I wrote my poem about the Grammy's, I knew that stars are born there, and applied this info to write a great piece.

You can use your own experiences to express yourself and be creative in infinite ways. You can stretch the truth in your pieces to make things more interesting to the reader, and use poetic devices to really bring your true experience to life for people who were not there. Your experiences can also help you brainstorm about a new idea. You could even take a time in your life and work off of that to create a fiction story. The possibilities are endless! One example is when I wrote about leaving my sleep away camp. It was a tragic time for me, but I exaggerated it much much more so that it would be riveting for the reader to learn about.

A person can use their own experiences for a creative writing piece by letting the reader feel how you felt when you did during that time. For example, if you feel off your bike and scrapped your knee and you used that in a writing piece the reader would be like OUCH!!! The things you think of are like a endless hole with tons of memories for ideas.

You can utilize your life experience as a foundation for creative and expressive ideas and thinking. This is because your ideas come from who are and your background. In writing workshop this year we wrote memoirs which is completely based off of your experiences and creativity to stretch the one moment. Also, when we wrote our metaphor poems we had to write something about a current event we were passionate about. If we didn't like the topic or feel passionate in any way it would be really hard to convey emotions.

One can utilize life experiences as a foundation to writing because all situations, good and bad are on the most part relatable. You always know when there is a good story or just a plain boring one. Like if you got a really good apple at the store, not a good story but if you went skydiving and had a ninja fight with a pigeon, that's a good story.

You have the ability to use the more exciting moments in life and force those events onto the characters of a fiction story. You can make them react differently or the same, end up doomed or fine, doesn't matter so long as it's exciting. Even if you choose to describe yourself, UNICORNS, there's still excitement. Just like a metaphor, like we wrote in writing, you can excite the reader.

You can use your own experiences in your writing to express your feelings in a creative way. Sometimes if it makes it more interesting, you can add something more interesting to the story to make the reader want to read more and enjoy it.You can use poetic devices to really bring the real experience to life for people who were not there. If you really want to you can use you story line and make it into a fiction or nonfiction story! You can do whatever feels right. One time I wrote about my camp and how there was a bear. I exaggerated a little bit to make the writing piece a little more interesting.
