When do you work on your free write project?
You should work on your FW project only when you have FREE TIME (between major writing assignments, after you complete your WW chart, etc.).
How do i begin?
First, come up with an idea in a way that works well for you. Some students write down various ideas on a sheet of paper, some students type up random ideas, some students look up images and write about a picture, or some students take an idea from the list below. After you figure out what you want to write, you must create a 20 POINT RUBRIC. I will use the rubric you create to grade your finished Free Write Project. Your rubric will be part of your Free Write final grade.. Before you begin writing, I must approve your rubric and writing idea.
WHAT SHOULD I SAVE MY FREE WRITE AS, AND WHERE SHOULD I SAVE IT?
Save each FW project as "Last Name FW#." For example, your first FW project will be saved as "LaRegina FW1.." Your FW should be saved to your computer AND your flash drive.
WHEN AND HOW DO I TURN IN MY FREE WRITE?
You should turn in your FW project only after you have completed the writing process and assessed your work using the rubric you created. If your FW project is in text format, print and place in the completed work tray. However, your assignment must be AirDropped to me if it is a PowerPoint, iMovie, or a similar multimedia project.
